St. Boniface will be holding an open house on Friday, March 9th from 4-6pm. Also, the school wil be open for tours from 4-6 during all of our Fish Frys during Lent. If you are interested, we would love to have you come and see what we have, how special it is, and how we would love you to be a part of it. Our school is Oak Harbor’s hidden gem. St. Boniface is a warm, nurturing, and secure environment where seeds are planted in our children: Seeds of education, citizenship, and faith. We welcome all faiths, races, and economical backgrounds.
We are set apart from others in many ways, not only by what we offer, but what we produce! We believe in technology, the arts, and a variety of learning experiences that enhance our quality education. St. Boniface has a computer lab and weekly classes;classrooms are state of the art with smart boards and iPads that are utilized by the students. Arts will never take a back seat at St. B. We have bi-weekly art and music, as well as gym. We also like the children to have as many educational experiences as possible. Last year, classes went to Imagination Station, the Stone Lab on Gibraltar Island, and The Old Garden House in Fremont. This year Imagination Station has visited with their Star Lab (mobile planetarium) and are coming back in a few weeks with their Workshop on Wheels!
We work into your schedule. School doors open at 7:30 and we provide free aftercare until 5:00, with a minimal fee from 5:00 until 6:00! Aftercare is ran by our caring teachers who donate their time so that we can better serve you. During aftercare, the children will have the opportunity to work on their homework with those teachers present for support. The children will also have the opportunity for additional outdoor play, activities, and use of our technology for additional practice and growth.
St. Boniface also has busing in the BCS school district as well as Elmore, Woodmore, and Genoa.
We are a service driven school who not only raise money for charities, we also collect food and other items needed for local shelters and groups, as well as work in our local food pantries.
We believe all children should know they are here with a purpose, that they belong, and they are loved. Bullying is never tolerated. We are a safe environment where children are free not just to be themselves, but free to be.
There are always some questions and concerns and we would love you to come on in and we can address them for you.
St. Boniface offers a variety of tuition assistance and opportunities. Come in and see St. B, the education and environment we provide, and how you cannot afford not to send your children. Never make money a reason you do not give your child a solid foundation. If you truly would like to be a St. Boniface family, let’s make it happen!
We are a school for families who want their children to grow, blossom, and flourish in God’s image. Many non-Catholics are concerned their children must be or become Catholic. This is not true. We do what we do because we are Catholic, not to convert you and your family. We will never hide our religion and Jesus’s teachings are detrimental to who we are but, we use these to encourage good citizenship, kindness, and generosity. All attributes valued in our world.
Our students are free to join in on all sporting events and teams like any other student and we are always a strong presence in the district spelling bee. Children who have graduated from St. Boniface assimilate into public schools as well as other parochial schools with confidence. Our alums are active in BCS’s drama departments, student governments, and all sports teams. Graduating in the tops of their classes, many of our graduates are valedictorians of their local schools. Our children leave our school with self confidence, discipline, and a sense of self. These attributes allow them to move into the world with a strong foundation to draw from in challenging times, guiding them to positive choices and practices.
St. Boniface is an environment and school we feel every family can benefit from. We are looking forward to seeing you at our open house. If you are unable to join us, but are interested in coming and seeing our school, please call the school office at (419) 898-1340. We can schedule a personal tour or have your child come in for a “come and see day”. If you are currently a St. B Family, please invite another family to see the school that is so important to you and your family.
